Heaven's Waiting Room. Bang Tao Phuket
Covid19 saw us stranded in Phuket after Shanghai. We were lucky to be able access 'Pig Beach' in Bang Tao throughout. Sensational sunsets led to the experimentation and development of these works.
Reverse Painting on Glass
The cumulative process of canvas painting where the image or subject develops in time is literally reversed. Often the results are not evident until it is complete. Details must be added first despite 'the body' of the work not existing.
Beginnings
Drips of acrylic mixed with PVC were applied daily for this time. The results are '4D' painting as specific time is applied to the creative process.

As a colector of Reverse Paintings on glass for decades, I never purchased broken or cracked pieces. I have gone full-circle to re-assemble glass paintings and, on occasion, break them BEFORE painting!
